Opensource was about making hobby software without women and cunts dictating anything or being around at all***. That's what it was in 2000. A way for men to achieve something not in the corporate world.
Where the programmers who made the thing controlled the thing: and controlled the hardware: and could violate United States Federal and State communications laws at will (there are alot of regulations). The desire of the 50+ % of voters in the democracy didn't matter. Only the will of the Programmer: the man.
It had nothing to do with communism: it was mostly akin to the modding scene.
And that goes all the way back to the 70s: RMS was modding software.
Democracy has more to do with communism: because it takes the man's vote and nullifies it: after morphing his true vote away from what it really is: the option to violence.
