As far as I'm concerned, Xorg and by extension, XLibre supports a wide variety of older hardware. The BSDs (I know, cuck license) also still use X.org, and NetBSD still at least tries to support older hardware.
Linux, and by extension, Redhat, is purposefully trying to obsolete hardware by pressuring the open source community in dropping support for older hardware and CPU architectures.
I suspect the real reason they're doing this is that older hardware lacks any backdoors, and by obsoleting this hardware they can continue to restrict the user's freedom by limiting the amount of hardware they can run Linux/Wayland on.
The fact that RHEL/Fedora only support x86-64-v2 and above is striking. Almalinux had to reintroduce support for older hardware by rebuilding the entire set of RHEL packages against an older build target.
It seems like the open source "community", or should I say the "source available community" has its sights set on doing the opposite of what it has been doing since the 1990s, and this all suspiciously started a few years ago. It's very suspicious behavior, and everyone is starting to notice.
