I posted http://bbs.progrider.org/prog/read/1404073028 with the intent to kick off some language trolling for sport. Is this okay? I have posted these from time to time. People don't complain about it, but if it's not cool I'll stop.

I did find the twitter posts annoying, and just about any of the ones that had links in the title text. I don't usually care about the person they target, but I have mad respect for Tim.

The official word by Admin was:

This isn't reddit or hn. No link only posts.

So I guess it's not ok.

Personally, I find nothing wrong with your thread, because it's an interesting page about a programming topic, and because my issue with Reddit/HN is their ranking/upvoting systems, not the fact they start conversations with links. However, I'm not Admin, who may entirely disagree with me.

I'm pretty sure the guy who posted the twitter link and that image has also posted 10-20 other threads with just links, in the same fashion. When there's more than 2 retarded threads by the same person on the front page it's getting to be too much.

If it's /prog/ related in a way, it's fine, but clearly an image of a French girl, some weird Chinese SWF, and links to various twitter profiles attempting to incite ``raids'' or whatever are just retarded.

At least you made a proper subject line. Can't stand threads that give a just a link with no hint what it's about.

Shitposting aside, I agree with Admin-kike on this one. Just because Leah was mocked doesn't mean that this is some sort of gendershit site one way or another.
