Not valid in this case. Because defining existence is indeed necessary to answer all 4 questions in the original post. For you see, if OP used the mundane definition of existence ("that which is perceived by the 5 senses of the human body"), then these questions wouldn't even have arised. Thus, he is actually using a custom definition of existence, and that's why inquired what that might be.
