Eternal September is real - 90's never ended

Name: Anonymous 2016-04-18 10:22

It seems the culture, art and media from the 90's are the dominant influence on modern society. Even two decades hasn't reduced their appeal, since the end of Cold War there was no lasting media that challenged the cultural norms and replaced 90's culture. Is this the sign the West is in a culture stagnation phase?

When people say "10 years ago", I still think of the 90s. Maybe that has something to do with it.

I do the same. I base all my mental date math off of year 2000, and rarely think to adjust it.

The 90s were a great time. Everything was new. Now everything is old. I think we all wish we could go back to the 90s just to relive that glory.

How the fuck is modern culture influenced by the 90s? We're experiencing the influences of 2005-2009 (the beginning of JewTube and the rise of social media) more so than the 90s.

Thank you, Captain Obvious.

How the hell are videoblog sites and social media 'culture' for you? It's just a domain in the address bar. Did the transition of /prog/ from world4ch to here also involve a change in culture?

It's mostly the Tolerant PC culture. It was huge in the 90s (the tail end of the "all men are pedophiles" scare) and then there was some blowback in the early 2000s with some white rappers and whatnot before it came back in a big way thanks to internet communities.

In case you haven't interacted with normal people lately, almost everyone has become a drone attached to a phone and a social network site account.

90's were really into the "Girl Power" meme that was the social support behind growth of third-wave feminism.
90's were also the first decade of "Global culture" so it became crystallized in public memory. I bet in 50-60 years 90's will be called "good old times" or something of that sort(obviously not in Russia or its satellite states).

I know, but what does that have to do with culture, art and media that they watch?

If you can't see the influence of post-2005 internet seeping into cultural mannerisms and being reinforced into our news, entertainment, advertising, and even politics, then I don't know what to say to you.

These hilarious memes are just fads, the culture is the same.

Everybody is so old these days. The next president will almost certainly be 70+ which would have been unthinkable a few decades ago. And most people in the media and government look ancient too. Are millennials simply too incompetent and entitled to take the reigns? Are they the lost generation, doomed to a life of limbo?

Meanwhile in China
As late as the 19th century, it was not unusual for Chinese executioners to eat the heart and brains of the criminals they disaptch. They also ate a portion of the human meat for health reasons, but when some extra meat was left, they sold it for profit." "Li Shih-chen [DP: 1578] detailed the use of humans many times for medicinal purposes. He noted, for example, that human meat was a good cure for tuberculosis. For the same or similar purposes, he discussed in an equally detailed manner the use of human sweat, urine, sperm, breast milk, tears, dirt, nails and teeth. Even today, in the People's Republic of China, the use of human fingers, toes, nails, dried urine, feces and breast milk are strongly recommended by the government to cure certain diseases.

Chinese are not fully humans. It's okay for Zerg to eat other Zerg if it profits the Hive.

The majority of the millenials in USA are already non-white. And most of those non-white aren't the intelligent Asians, either. Hence, your question is rhetorical.

As Japan ages its people are dying off at a faster pace. About 20,000 more people per year are expiring

And they're still not embracing mass immigration and multi-culti. Ah, Japanese the Intelligent, Japanese the Racist. It seems this great nation will survive anything short of complete island submersion. If only Whites were as competent.

That is all Japanese plot. Smart Japs want Europe and US to get overrun by niggers. Then Japanese will use their supreme genetic engineering to eradicate the niggers like vermin. Being uber-dumb, niggers will be unable to produce a vaccine against a virus, that kills only niggers, decimating entire black population to just a few thousands.
