I currently run a small imageboard, but ha ebeen recently getting interested in textboards. I'm thinking of opening a new /lounge/ type textboard. I have a feeling that my userrs would use it. Do you think people from other BBSes would come too? Is there any point in opening a new textboard?

It's not a good idea to fragment this weak community even more. It's very likely your userbase thinks textboards are nothing more than imageboards without the images, which is not true and will hurt textboards even more.
