I literally heard my roommate complaining about this earlier, and had no idea that a lot of females feel the same way as you >>1. I'm a misanthrope who doesn't socialize in company and usually only pays attention to the select few I care for, but after reading this, and learning some of the shit I've heard with what happened with my roomie, I feel like I'm at a loss if this is a real thing. I've been a proponent of egalitarianism and whenever I heard a woman say they were a feminist, I asked "why not egalitarianism?" and usually said that I thought feminism was great to open people's eyes, but it's not needed anymore-- that at the current moment, homosexuality is what the world needs to learn to accept. But if your poem means anything it means we're still far too backward and that egalitarianism is too much hope to ever have. Your writing is phenomenal.
