Not an unreasonable thing to do, if the circumstances permit it. Kind of throws a wrench in the whole threading thing, though.

Sometimes I just forget to quote the previous post. I don't know why omitting the quote would be autistic--that implies it's supposed to prove a point rather than just an accident or unconscious laziness.
