Rude cashier :(

Name: Anonymous 2018-07-15 19:07

She double charged me by accident. I tried to explain what she did, and she didn't understand and was really rude. I don't have the patience for that shit so I just left. Should I contest the extra credit card charge? I don't want to fuck up my credit score but I got charged twice for the same exact thing.

I wouldn't waste my time arguing unless its some significant amount, but if they have a presence on yelp they WILL get bad reviews.
To avoid being doxxed, you'll have to make a fake identity and a review not related to the incident so they'll have no clue how to track you down.
Btw i agree that arguing with cashiers/managers is waste of nerves.

Btw the worst reviews are not "One-star this is terrible shit", they are subtle three-four stars polite reviews that mark the business as sub-standard shady enterprise or hint about the low-quality of service. They're impossible to remove and will be read forever.

People only look at the average rating.

so only voting 1 or 5 matters, for changing the average by the most in whichever direction you want

Rating can be manipulated by adding 5 star reviews. Bad reviews can be purged.
But average reviews stay around. Their neutrality and polite tone shield them from removal and suspicion. They have long-term influence - people read them again and again.
They're the core reputation that can't be scrubbed away or enhanced. These glowing reviews can be discarded as shilling, 1star rants could be debunked by owners or other shills, but subtle reviews slip by.
