>>8I live in the Russian Federation, which means I'm a citizen of Russia, and I should be proud of it. It always seemed to me that the homeland should be loved simply for nothing. That it should be loved simply because it exists, that we live in it, that we study and work, that we have the opportunity to receive education and treatment. It always seemed to me that the main reason, in order to love the motherland, is that it is our homeland. But gradually, I began to notice that many people say that they do not like their homeland. And although they are Russian citizens, they say they would like to move to another country, because there the conditions of life are better, education is better, politicians listen to people and make the right laws.
I wondered why people who are Russian citizens have such different opinions. Why do some think one thing and others think differently. Because our homeland is one, and it is the same for all. Then I realized that although our homeland is one, it does not give us the same thing. Everyone gets what he deserves, so much, how much he works. But somebody realizes it, but something does not. Therefore, he begins to blame the whole country.
A citizen of Russia in my understanding should, if not love, then respect his homeland, the place where he was born, the place where he took the first steps in training or work. As if everything did not turn out later, no matter how fate turned on, and wherever the road of your life turned, the first steps you did in your homeland. If only for that reason, respect in your heart should be present.
Any person who was born in Russia and feels Russian, respects and values his country, in my opinion, is a citizen of Russia. A citizen of Russia will never say a bad word about her. You can notice the shortcomings and work on them. But if a person is not ready to fight for something better, but can only criticize what exists, he has no right to speak about shortcomings. If a citizen understands the imperfection of his country, he strives to improve what exists, so that the camp becomes as it should be. A citizen of his country tries to make it more livable, tries to improve living conditions. The citizen understands what is important for his state, and he does not hide in the bushes, when he can change something. Probably, that is why, so few people can be called citizens of our country for real. After all, very many people want to move to find a better life somewhere else. This is quite a natural desire. But, in this case, they can not be considered citizens of Russia.
