Why do people care about the future?

Name: Anonymous 2018-10-14 7:03

Are they just NPCs or do most people really think they'll live on after death to observe the planet's future? Maybe I'm autistic, but I just can't see why the future, in general, should matter to me or anybody else alive.

But even on this board I see people posting "we should do this or that to improve things in the future" and I'm like "whatever fag" but others actually engage in the conversation as if it matters. What's going on? Can anybody here who cares about the future explain their reasoning?

There is no reason to think you would be reincarnated in the future as we define it since time doesn't exist outside of a live human's perception. Your best bet is to relive your past and hope that you have time to disentangle your negative attachments before death so that if you do get reincarnated it is into a less totally shit epoch.
