Deplatforming is unintentionally accelerationist

Forces people to realizes how cucked surface internet is. All controversial content will eventually migrate onto darknets.
Darknets will grow eventually to create an alternative platform to entire Internet and censorship won't be able to stop it.
I'd call it Shadow Internet: like a shadow economy, it will grow from current needs and crowds seeking anonymity/free speech.

TOR has been around since 2002. It’s nearly as old as the consumer internet itself. If it were going to reach critical mass, it already would have by now.

Also normalfags are used to interfacing with social media via their phones. (<10% of people use FB or Twitter on PCs.) Normalfags aren’t going to break out of this habit. This is a huge problem for darknet as a social media platform because app stores (Apple and Alphabet) will just delete the darknet client applications the same way they deleted Gab and Alex Jones. You’d have to convince people to only use Android and allow installation from unknown sources (a feature which could be removed at any time).

There are just too many hurdles for a normalfag to jump through. It won’t get any easier in the future as Big Tech makes their products more like walled gardens.
