Google Bans Call Recording

They cite user privacy. I.e. recording the mafia goons, who extort money from you would be infringing on their privacy:

It's ironic because now I have to play every call at full volume through loudspeaker to record the calls, exposing the caller's privacy to all kinds of neighbors and coworkers.
