Drawing is a brute force visual copying from memory(often short-term), you're an abstract thinker who could easily describe the objects you draw and convey the same meaning much more efficiently than drawing.
Drawing is the primitive pre-language art that was subsumed with photography and 3D graphics design software, it killed realism because the "reference" could just be copied to photograph.
Once brain imaging software maps the visual cortex pathway images would be drawn directly from mindscapes(or dreamscapes) and drawing itself will be relegated to the category of visual horse carriages.

what about automating the path-following of a robotic arm (holding a knife, for instance), for cutting clothes and metals at a factory? or holding an ink dispenser and drawing a conpanys logo on its product?

in essence it is the same process as that of drawing which primates use, so dont tell me the process itself is useless

it has not been subsumed, it is still used for hypothetical scenes (which photography doesn't)
and im sure 3d computer graphics has a very limited range of possible output

exactly
in fact all things computers do humans did it first and then knowing how its done were able to program computers to do it
humans: top explorers
computers: top fast|efficient unoriginals Edited on 04/04/2020 16:45.
