There's no justice in the world

Might makes right, it's the law of nature, and humans are a part of nature.

There's no way to subvert this natural law - nature cannot be dethroned. Everything is born under it. A weak table has no place in a kitchen, a weak body can't be put to work. A weak brain can't think straight, a weak heart can't take the pressure.

If you are helped, if you are saved, it is only the might and magnanimity of you savior that made it so, and nothing ever constrained him.

A nation's best and fairest laws aren't worth anything if it produces weak individuals who can't reason about them, nor honor them, nor adapt them to newer circumstances.

These would sooner reverse them and promulgate that bad laws are better, and spit on the memory of their predecessors, than be constrained by the "might" of ink and paper to act better than they can, to display magnanimity and liberality that they do not possess, to run a thriving society made up of decadent men.

I wouldn't neglect to make use of and give back to civilization, but wouldn't rely on it any more than on the people that make part of it. I think you missed the point.
