What happened to all the wapanese??

They were huge in the early noughties but now are nowhere to be seen. Where are they all now? Where did they go?

I have noticed a disturbing rise online in ebonics use. How this unintelligible speech went from being used only in mockery to being used in genuine discussion I don't know. Hopefully this trend will die out soon just like how rap music has completely died out.
