A smartphone game called Magia Record: Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story, was released in Japan on August 22, 2017. The game features a new protagonist named Iroha Tamaki, who arrives in Kamihama city to search for her missing sister. The game features the theme song "Kakawari" (かかわり "Connection") by TrySail. An anime adaptation of the game will premiere in 2019.
