The characters are pretty much moe-ish. There's a cute yuri subversion, and an awkward yuri subversion. The first one is probably the easiest to understand, so far. The other one is probably more complex.

It's not a bad show though. It has some interesting ideas, and decent writing. The pacing is off, but the story is satisfyingly clear and logical.

>>12 The only downsides are that the writing is more straightforward and straightforward than the series average, and the OST is underwhelming. It's a deconstruction of an average magical girl show rather than a deconstruction of a typical mahou shoujo show, so it's more focused on the character interactions between the characters.

I think you guys are forgetting that in the anime business, sometimes the best way to describe a show is how much it pisses you off.

>>13 No, the anime is not a deconstruction. It deconstructs an important genre of anime in order to expose the flaws of the genre. It deconstructs the problems that the audience has with the term deconstruction because it's very obvious that the audience already thinks the show is deconstruction. It reveals the audience's confusion and frustration at being disappointed with a show they thought they knew.

So basically, the show's plot is pretty much a joke, its characters are mostly there to serve as the main guys.

The only characters that show emotion are the two leads, the mami and the mami's best friend.

I think everything about this anime is a joke. There are no clear character arcs or overarching themes. The art is all about doing whatever the audience wants, and then getting fucked over by the end. The characters are all there to do whatever the audience wants, so the characters themselves aren't that important.

It's pretty bad, but I can appreciate the effort made.
