Saying Eth Musaf in Error on Rosh Hashanah
Monday, September 2, 2013/Elul 27, 5773

On both the first and second days of Rosh Hashanah we say in the Musaf 'Amidah, "Eth Musfei" (in the plural) and not Eth Musaf in the singular. The reason is that this refers to the Musaf offering and we say it in the plural to include the Rosh Hodesh Musaf as well as the one for Rosh Hashanah, since Rosh Hashanah falls on Rosh Hodesh Tashri.

If a Sephardi said "Eth Musaf" in error, but did not yet complete the blessing, he should go back and say, "Eth Musfei". However, once he said G-d's Name in the blessing (Barukh Attah H'), he should not go back.

According to the Mishnah Berurah, however, if one said, "Eth Musaf" on the first day, one must repeat the blessing, but not on the second day. Ashkenazim should be concerned about this opinion.

I'm not shitposting, just testing the new BBS. I'm the I love JEWS guy. Thank you for hosting this site, admin-san,

I answered my own question by looking up the source.

post.pl references these:

# Board limitations
use constant POST_LIMIT => '1000'; # Max post limit per thread
use constant COMMENT_LENGTH => '6092'; # Max comment length
use constant SUBJECT_LENGTH => '60'; # Max subject length
use constant NAME_LENGTH => '30'; # Max name length

tablecat looks pretty solid to me. I have to say. It's much cleaner than shiitchan.
