NSA has broken most encryption

Name: Anonymous 2013-09-05 18:46

No, really! I'm not just making shit up this time:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/09/06/us/nsa-foils-much-internet-encryption.html?hp&_r=0

The agency has circumvented or cracked much of the encryption, or digital scrambling, that guards global commerce and banking systems, protects sensitive data like trade secrets and medical records, and automatically secures the e-mails, Web searches, Internet chats and phone calls of Americans and others around the world, the documents show.
I hope you don't have your plots to *redacted* the *redacted* with a *redacted* and your CP stored on Google Drive, no matter how much encryption you applied!

In related news, the NSA stores all encrypted data, "just in case". https://www.techdirt.com/articles/20130620/15390323549/nsa-has-convinced-fisa-court-that-if-your-data-is-encrypted-you-might-be-terrorist-so-itll-hang-onto-your-data.shtml
In other words, if your messages are encrypted, the NSA is keeping them until they can decrypt them. And, furthermore, as we noted earlier, the basic default is that if the NSA isn't sure about anything, it can keep your data.

Fuck you reddit, ECHELON's been around for twenty years. Where were you then?

Fucking faggots.

start build real tools ...
Let me guess, you'll rewrite everything. In C. But with extra crypto.

Well guess what my little friend, most ``hax'' aren't mathematical. Most of today's ciphers are secure, and there will probably never be a computer capable of breaking a modern 256-bit symmetric cipher. But guess what? That doesn't matter. If your code is filled with buffer overflows and off-by-ones and shitty pointer arithmetic, all that won't matter.

Stop using C. Use ((Lisp)). Use closures. Save the environment! (I'm pretty proud of that pun)

Not rewrites, but deployment of systems and communication securely. I implied it with stating I will use Tails. So far I am leaning to a Gnunet and Freenet approach to anonymity and encryption. But who opens up their emails, their pages, their bank notes, their daily internet activity with them? That is what I mean I will be working on, making these systems approachable by anyone.
