So I have choice
1. Spend a month recompiling Linux, and then recompiling any updates.
2. Pay $50 for a copy of Windows, commercial software quality and free update for several years. In most cases comes bundled with your device at negligible cost.
3. Spend a few minutes searching for Windows a torrent, free but some virus risk, countered by using anti-virus.

I think the choice is obvious.

Linux Mint is the only way to go. Once Ubuntu went all shit with Unity and motherfucking advertising, Mint stripped all that out and brought it back to a real-world usable desktop. Fuck Ubuntu.
