Autism Role Playing Game Engine

Name: Anonymous 2014-01-08 12:40

So there's a GNU project named RPGE. It's purpose is to create 2D role playing game engine. http://savannah.gnu.org/

The first time I heard about it, I thought those retards can never make anything useful about it, since they probably use just C because they think it's 'efficient' and 'clear'.

Well, I was partly wrong.

I looked at their code repo. Sure it had been written in C, using SDL. But then there was this scm folder.. Scheme? really? Ok, lets look at examples/ folder. There's a file test.scm. It's in Scheme, the most autistic language ever. WTF? Also file test.map, which describes a game map of some sorts, is also in some LISP, probably scheme too.

So yeah, I found a nice game engine for you /prog/. Not some mainstream C++ and Lua shit, but proper C and Scheme! Of course I'm kidding, only total autist would use this shit. Hah.

Funny, I was actually going to try and create something like this, using Guile for all the extensions. Of course, it wouldn't have gotten to a releasable state, but I was still thinking about it.
