Who /jp/ here?

Name: Anonymous 2014-04-09 18:46

/jp/ died years ago. I remember it being boring in 2011, but it's really depressingly bad now.

Anyways it was never a good board. It was only good to watch the tripfags fight with each other.

I am from /g/ and /s4s/ :^)

I don't think there is such a board, just this and /lounge/.

It certainly isn't as amusing as it used to be, but it's not that bad if you ignore the idol and Kancolle threads.

Sure, lately it's been Youmu is a girl! imagedumps, but it's not as bad as /a/ or /g/.

lately it's been Youmu is a girl!
That has been going on for more than a year. It was really fun when it was trips circlejerking and inside jokes, but nu/jp/ doesn't like being left out, so they cried on /q/ and ruined everything.

Ha, I actually started the idol threads. Only went on that board for the first year or so though.

It died for me around the time neo/jp/ started to argue over the ``controversial'' acceptance of Ar Tonelico. AT threads had not been mainly necro-circlejerking for quite a while though, but still that was fucked up.

These threads are what keep me from leaving /jp/ forever. I know it's full-on shitposting, but it's the cute kind of shitposting. Almost like their version of "Sure, x, but is it Abelson x?" or "Shalom!".

Do they ever have seiyu threads? Maybe I should start that going if they don't. jk

I just visit to argue in the Umineko threads and push anti-fantasy Higurashi interpretation every chance I get. Luckily, since those threads are religiously bumped for months at a time, I only have to check every couple of weeks.

I'm surprised to see they still have the same shitty memes from the time I left, usually imageboards change theirs very quickly.

I'm disgusted with that board and I hate every single regular there. In my last years there, I developed an almost irrational hatred for that place.
I've spent a lot of time there(which I regret deeply) and sometimes I can't help but wonder "what kind of lame shit are they up to now?", like the new kinds of autismal shitposting and butthurt that the Kancolle fad would bring, but I feel no desire to check it all.

/jp/ is extremely shitty, but sometimes very endearing threads pops up, so you keep browsing it, waiting for this mythical nice thread to appear again, like a heroin addicted burn-out, shooting poison in his veins and feeling like shit everyday, in the hopes that he will finally experience that good high he had one time, 6 months ago.

And now that I think of it, I probably still have pygma's nudes stored somewhere in my computer. How awful.

/jp/ is very conservative, as imageboards go.

/jp/ is one of the few places of 4chan that I still bother with, mostly because of that stasis. Sure, it's shit, but at least I have a pretty good idea about what shit I'm going to get if I go there. For other boards that I have frequented in the past, I've seen an almost-universal shift from shit-I-could-tolerate to shit-I-can't-tolerate. I guess I'll hit the breaking point with everything someday.
