GNU/Linux

* most of /prog/ does not use GNU/Linux
* GNU/Linux is still not at the level of support needed to use it as a daily desktop system
* most existing hardware can't run GNU/Linux without running into problems that make it a dealbreaker to use GNU/Linux, such as overheating, decreased battery life, non-existent wireless support, incomplete graphics support, etc
* GNU/Linux still lacks many of the software options needed to get by on a daily basis
* existing GNU/Linux alternatives to popular or necessary software are usually lacking something needed for them to become viable alternatives
* GNU/Linux is fragmented to hell and /prog/ can't even agree on a distro to run that people can stick to for the rest of their lives
* no GNU/Linux distro is perfect and because of this, most people on GNU/Linux distrohop endlessly to try to find that perfect distro but never find it.
* the FSF and other leftist groups have such a extremist view of how software should be handled that some people actually participate in the splintering and politicizing of GNU/Linux which drives away users and separates existing users, weakening the userbase and making it even more vulnerable to the competition's attacks on GNU/Linux as a desktop platform

Despite revealing myself to be a /g/ro, this is a repost of a particularly shitty /g/ thread. I wonder what makes >>1
-san feel the need to repost such a heinous thing here.
