I can't quite seem to post the picture of mine for some reason:
REASON: Any art you post should be PIXEL ART! Pixel art implies that each pixel is placed by hand (no filters, paintbrushes, gradient fills, etc).
Well, I did make it by hand in paint, pixel by pixel, provided a link to the reference image and all. This may be just a misunderstanding, but how may I be sure this wont happen again.

It was questionable to us. You are new and we don't know your work to have something to judge by. It seems to me, however, that the 149 colors used couldn't possibly be all hand chosen and placed. This is especially seen inside the iris and where the top of the lid meets the eye area. The lightest pixels right underneath the eyebrow look like tell tale signs of CG artifacts. The 3 grey pixel in the highlight of the lower lid simply don't make sense and I can't imagine any pixelartist stopping there to change colors 3 times manually for something that isn't even having an effect of any kind. It just didn't pass my inspection and would need to be shown by you where I made an error in judgment and assestment.

im not lying! i did not recolour or trace thank you verry much, i used the sheet as a refrence. i did my best to get the pixels in the right place as the orignal BUT i did not trace over said orignal nor recolour it, i am a honist person and i did not trace, i did it pixel by pixel, the worst you could call me is a copyer. but i did not trace or recolour and i even have my progress pictures if you need proof but i did not recolour it!

Whether you copy/pasted, traced, or eyeballed is irrelevant: you made a pixel-for-pixel duplicate of a copyrighted pokemon sprite and called it your own work. Imagine how you would feel if someone did this with something of yours.

I'm not really seeing the problem here. The right half contains non-pixel art elements, so isn't it obvious it got rejected? And technically, that half wasn't entirely made by you either.
Why don't you just submit the left half and add a link in the description to the right half?

Hey guys, i'm pretty new here, so sorry for any newbie-ness. But, i was wondering, what do i need to be done to this picture? I really liked it, had afew things i was gunna fix up but overall happy with it. When they said it needed revision they said something about there wasnt enough score, or something along those lines. I really didn't understand lol..
Really sorry if its obvious and i can't see it, i'm utterly new to this. Thanks so much in advanced for any replies.
Im not sure what they said but it could be aboutt hings like her hair, thats at least 3 colors I can see but there is not much contrast between the colors
I would say that it feels very "dirty" overall; lots of jagged lines could be refined to give it a "cleaner" and more complete feel.
Reading this thread was really eerie, for some reason. The tone and form of other forums is so sycophantic it makes me sick, and it stands out way more when copy pasted onto /prog/.
