>>23red eclipse looks like shittier version of warsow: you can do even crazier moves without any effort whatsoever.
well, at least now we have something that looks like a game on sauerbraten engine.
>>26silly physics rules are there to help you move faster if you're really clever at exploiting them, so you can get where you're going before your enemy does, and basically everyone just has to be more clever than everyone else at exploiting physics glitches
that's pretty precise description of quake (not FPS). it's like new dimension of gameplay: moving properly requires skill and constant effort. so the glitch became the corner stone of gameplay.
>>30everybody play quake live and not cpma or qw
1. millions of flies can not be wrong
2. looks like a task of setting up a server and coordination via irc is something unbearable for modern kids. so the quake live rose with all its ads and regular balance and physics refuckups.
3. running cpma on alternative platrofms seems to be impossible. i've had hard time cranking up q3a on linux and it won't run super-smooth as it should.
where's zombiemod or deathrun or surf in your quakes?
1. because zombies can not bunnyhop
2. because community is ded
3. it's called defrag
