No one "programs" anymore, it's time to look at the future

That's wrong though. While creating shitty iPhone and Facebook apps is getting all the attention now, that is just because of all the hipsters who have hopped on the bandwagon because it is the current fad. Ultimately, they will get bored, APPL and GOOG will drop 50% of their value while FB and TWTR lose 99%. Soon after, the era of nerds being cool will be over, and sanity can be restored. Technology will slowly become an established industry, like oil, where people are hired based on merit and nepotism rather than the number of tweets that push various social justice causes. Programming and mathematical computer science will once again rein supreme while web design gets moved to the humanities department where it belongs.
