so now im maintaining an ASP.NET site written in 2001 with JavaScript that only works in QuirksMode and is full of special cases for Netscape navigator and IE4.

There have been two failed attempts so far at converting this site to a more modern platform. There's talk about a third attempt but people are still too traumatized from the previous one. Meanwhile I'm stuck with it.

I can hardly think of a job today, that doesn't include JavaScript and a ton webcoding. The main problem with C# is management, that has a fuckload of rules, like indentation, banning dynamic typing and doing all these design patterns the painful way.
