The New York Times published an article today that lists the worst jobs in the world. Not surprisingly, programming ranked extremely low on the list. Experts were asked why this was the case, and they detailed the answers that we already know. Programming is demeaning. It forces the user to think at the level of a mere machine and to abandon all free though in exchange for dull logic. Programming ranked only 5125 out of the 5130 occupations ranked.
The ranking was determined by quality of life, questionnaires, sexual activity, mental health medication subscriptions, suicide rates, and occupational hazards.
