Nameless IRCD is a 0 config easy to use and set up irc daemon with a twist. There are no chan ops, no channel modes, no moderation mechanisms and no nicknames. It's meant to be dead simple to set up, connect up and run new instances.

Now we needed to port it in C, or scheme.

What practical purpose is there to port this in C or Scheme? It's not like it needs the speed that C can provide. It's not like Scheme is any more powerful than Python is. Maybe I understand if you enjoy the challenge of translating software from one language to another but beyond that, there is no point of doing so for this case.
