Oil market collapse is going to destroy the internet

Name: Anonymous 2014-12-16 18:50

If the current trend in the oil market continues, oil will hit $0 per barrel in only a few months at the most. When oil is that cheap, all the oil companies are going to go bust and there will be no more production. Most power plants run off of oil, natural gas, or coal. With oil and natural gas gone, the price of coal will skyrocket, sending energy prices through the roof and pricing coal power out of the market. That leaves nuclear, solar, and wind. The Eurotrash and Chink ``countries'' have shut down all their nuclear plants to prop up solar and wind. Pretty soon, those will be the only power sources left and the internet will be overrun by fucking hippies declaring victory and world socialism will soon be implemented. The new Marxist government will implement strict censorship on the internet and all the sites that don't suck complete balls will be closed. This means no more /prog/, or http://mitpress.mit.edu/sicp/ , or child porn, or Silk Road. Instead, we will all be forced to use Reddit, browse Ruby tutorials, fap to gay furry porn, and only take prescribed medicine from a licensed pharmacy. Those who don't will be executed.

To save the internet at this point, oil needs to be at least $300 a barrel. If you care at all about this community, you will go get a loan for $50,000 right now -- from a bank, from your mom, from the mafia loansharks, it doesn't matter -- and start buying oil futures. Yes, you will probably lose the money, but if you don't you'll lose anything.

All y'all motherfucker better be buying oil options. Unless you believe OPEC is going to keep fucking itself in the ass for the next 12 months to come. Which they won't. As soon as SA brought Russia on the knees prices will rise again. The only "good" thing to come from all of this is that shale tar sands fracking bullshit is going to be uneconomical for the next couple months. Great, amirite? Oh, but the same goes up for solar and wind.

Buy some options dude. I feel like I felt when I was telling y'all to buy bitcoins in early 2013.
