If you can't see the inherent racism of pandering to a KKK and White Supremacist organization for votes, then you're racist yourself, because you tolerate and sympathize with the KKK and Nazis so much that you're bending over backwards to defend them, justify their actions, put the blame on other people who actually DO suffer from real racism.
Saying "I know you are but what am I" is NOT a legitimate excuse for racist behavior, but it is evidence that you are tolerant and accepting of racism, and racist yourself. The hard cold truth is that you're defending racism, and nothing you can say can get around that fact. You don't even have the excuse that your career depends on it, or somebody's paying you to say that, or that you're just pandering to your racist base -- you're doing it for no charge, of your own free will, out of courtesy to other racists, which is even worse than selling out. So you're a fucking racist, and nothing you say or believes matters one bit.
