What happened to the hacker scene. When I was ten, I wanted to get in all the super leet channels and chat with Neo and hacking the planet, but now it seems to be gone. Somehow, the imminent threat of hackers starting a nuclear war has been replaced with an ``Anonymous'' that uses names and fights flamewars on twitter. Why did things used to be so much cooler? Did all the real basement dwelling faggot geeks really let federal prison take them out of the scene?

I find it hard to believe that anyone competent would work for the NSA. People with intelligence generally have good morals to back it up. Nobody with a soul would work there.
