/prog/ self improvement thread

Please use this thread for the purpose of improving /prog/.

Be friendly. We are all programmers. We are SICP reading programmers who want to talk about programs. We are all delicate, solitary beings who use the computer to explore a world of truths that bring comfort to our restless minds. But we are fragile, our emotional states betray us, and we are diverted away from this. When we are diverted, we enter the alien world of "people" where our search for the truth gets twisted into something else. We forget the beauty of programming, and we forget the innocent happiness that comes with it. To heal from this, we must support one another. We must be kind and patient.
