Hey guys let's make your own web browser in scratch using lisp?

First we have to finish the super fast Lisp with static typing that at least five people are working on.

Doing anything to perpetuate the disaster that is the web.

Let it kill itself. It'll die along with the death of Western civilization. It's too late to stop it from choking on itself. Just look at HTTP 2.0.

4.33MB!? For a text-mode browser?

Apparently it unpacks to over 13MB, of which almost 4.5MB is "font_inc.c" containing... fonts comprised of hex-encoded PNG images, one for each letter.

The other big one is "language.inc" at just under 1MB... containing strings in several dozen languages (why would anyone ever need anything other than English and the other 1-2 languages (s)he knows!?)

This is then followed by "configure", a bloated mess of GNUdiocy at over 256KB.

WTF.

I agree that's inexcusable compared to your browser, which weighs in at 0B.

Do they have a lightweight champion of the world? I want to see 65 pound anorexic men box.

I recommend that a text-only browser be implemented. I'm using one now as a matter of fact! I heartily recommend Lynx. You can compile it no problem, and tweak it as you require. It is a comprehensible tool.

A COMPREHENSIBLE TOOL

Perhaps model your Lisp (la lingua sacra e eterna) implementation after Lynx.

Generally, I recommend the extensive use of a text-only browser. IT WILL IMPROVE YOUR LIFE.
