Garbage Collection advantages

Name: Anonymous 2015-03-08 16:49

.Inserts random pauses into the program, reducing CPU overheating.
.Allows elegant allocation of resources.
.Frees the programmer from the heavy burden of manually freeing memory.
.Stimulates production of larger memory modules and lowers memory prices.
.Redirects programmer resources from childish low-latency games towards serious scientific programs.
.Allows to diagnose memory leaks and allocation problems, effects of which become obvious fast.
.The programmer isn't forced to sacrifice everything for memory performance, as he can blame the garbage collector.
.Garbage collection is often faster to use than manual allocation with some minor space costs and a few pauses.
.Manual memory allocation is too error-prone.
.Most programmers don;t know how much memory they use, GC will helpfully show how much.
