A deep-dive into computer architecture from a mathematicians perspective

This book should have been titled "a philosophical approach of applied mathematics in computer science". It was clearly written by people with backgrounds in mathematics. Most of algorithms are conveyed using math formulas instead of something more approachable like pseudo-code. My problem with this book is that it assumes the reader is a math major with a minor in computer science.
If this is a required text-book, be prepared to spend at least 1.5 weeks to read and understand the chapter you've been assigned.
In a nutshell, the book is a deep dive into computer architecture from a mathematicians perspective. This approach is reminiscent of the higher education system in Eastern Europe (and probably the Soviet Union)

This comes from a Software Engineer employed at a Fortune 100 company.

No shit, it was clearly written by people with backgrounds in mathematics. The title says “from a mathematicians perspective”. No wonder Fortune 100 companies create such horrible products.
