Man is a tortured being Somewhere between God and beast. Nothing tortues a man more Than his mind when he sleeps. These wretched dreams, Won't they deliver some peace? -- by Anonymous.
Another lousy night. Going to be another lousy day at work, I can't already tell.

nightmares are fun. It's a pleasure to have such an intense experience in such a short amount of time. And regardless of how bizarre and terrible it was during it, you wake up, relax in your bed, and breath while your adrenaline comes back down. It's like almost dying in real life with none of the dangerous or otherwise unpleasant lasting consequences.
Lately though I've been trying to wake up in my dreams. I'll be dreaming and I know that I need to wake up and go in the morning, so I start waking up from dreams in my dream. My layer 2 dreams are like a N64 game is to real life. Less detailed. Bright and simple colors. Then I wake up in layer 1. And I know I'm not actually awake because the details don't make sense. I'm not in the right place. Some weird shit is going down. And I go back and forth for a while. Until finally I wake up in real life. I apply a quick sanity check and verify that yes, this is the real world.
I attempted lucid dreaming in layer 2 but it didn't work. It froze on an image and I transported in layer 1.
