Since when does this exist?

My name is Cairnarvon. I write code and read books. I'm a feminist, a socialist, and an atheist.

(I'm a cis male; if you feel I shouldn't call myself a feminist in that capacity, feel free to substitute a more useful term.)

I consider myself to be intersectional feminist, and I have called myself a sex-negative feminist in the past not because I oppose the rationalising and destigmatising of sexuality, but because I believe the sex-positive movement too often ends up blithely reinforcing patriarchy.

I thought about it the moment I hit Reply

I mean, on the scale of my congenital defects colour-blindness ranks somewhere below heart disease, narrow Eustachian tubes, and depression, but it does bother me. I don't like being reminded of the shittiness of my sensory input, and my colour-blindness does that on a near-daily basis. Jobwise, I'd probably be doing shitty websites for people for money like everyone else, if not for it.
It's actually Koen Crolla, but you know. Crolla is (almost certainly) an Italian name, but my family has lived in Belgium for more generations than anyone has bothered to keep track. I live in Tienen, and speak Dutch.
I'm a member of sp.a, the Flemish socialist party, but fall to the left of them on many issues. sp.a is, for perfectly understandable if not always legitimate reasons, primarily a centre-left party for the middle class, while my interests tend to lie with more deeply disadvantaged or disenfranchised people and/or more universal matters.

Xarn confirmed for Jew.

Tell-tale sign of a fugitive jew family. Probably were expelled from Italy for being greasy kikes and then sought refuge on northern Israel, i.e. Belgium and the Netherlands.

He's probably suffering from genetic diseases due to Jewish racism that forces them to inbreed in order to conserve the purity of their race.

Indeed. Corolla is quite often an Italian Jewish name in the US (ie. Adam Corolla), Crolla is a Flemish variation of that surname. Plus, given his genetic defects and political tendencies, he is most likely has some Jewish ancestry.

It's a tragedy so many of us end up as left-wing morons who indirectly serve the interests of the elite. Just as he is blind to the full pallete of color, he is also blind to how his good-intentioned principles end up having an opposite effect in practice.

I say this as someone born a Jew myself.

What was the name of that jewish genetic disorder that was once posted here, that makes jews even more reptilian in appearance and behavior?

I never cared for Xarn.

Edi Weitz is writing a new Common Lisp book:

This year marks the 10 year anniversary of Apress’s last Common Lisp book, Practical Common Lisp. Edi Weitz, who with cl-ppcre and many other libraries helped support the CL resurgence of the 2000s, is working on a new Common Lisp book for Apress. It will be a cookbook-style book in their “Recipes” series. Part of it will be about useful open source libraries, ASDF, and Quicklisp.

You can see very preliminary preorder pages at Springer and Amazon.

I’m looking forward to it!
