Nothing to see here, Haskell is still faster with LLVM codegen.

Using -fllvm and 7.10.2 I get

> 2950ms for ghc (averaged over 10 runs)
> 4079ms for the mean of the fredge version
> 5896ms for ghc without -fllvm

Indeed, with LLVM I get 5532 ms.
