I would like to imagine that the people who post here have above average intelligence. Why do we choose to use this web 1.0 textboard as our means of communication. Here's just a few things off the top of my head that is missing:
-You can't login and view a list of your post.
-You do not receive notifications so when someone responds to your post you can only find out by refreshing the page.
-There's no AJAX.
-There's no easy way to filter out topics you do not care about
-There's no easy way to search for topics you care about.
-The interface looks like shit.
-There's noting in place to stop spam.

So please explain to me why you keep coming back to this web 1.0 forum. Are you no different from your conservative grandpa who refuses to accept the fact that newspapers are an outdated way of getting their news. Is it because you secretly love this autistic community and don't think you would be able to find this type of conversations on other places? Please tell me why smart people put up with this.

Because none of that shit is necessary, it's all just bells and whistles. Intelligent people tend to care less about bells and whistles and more about content and substance.
