compresion program based on library of babel?

Name: Anonymous 2015-10-03 20:41

Backgorund:This is writen to "maybe" give inspiration or something... and ideas about
the "infinite monkey theorem". This problems and philosophy woke up again in my mind
afther seeing this video:GDrBIKOR01c (staring at 17:00, with what I am to talk about).
There are some very wrong facts he is saying, witch I will correct.

To begin, I will say this(witch maybe has no relevance to the topic at hand):
Everything in the abstract world(math, speach/human languges, ideas) are all
to there simplest form data.

With data I mean(the defenision I will be using in my text), very simple that -
all data is in base-1 number system. Think tally marks, that is how people
count the days they have been in prision, with simple strokes, e.g.:
III = 3 days
IIIII = 5 days
IIIIIIIIIIIIIII = 15 days

Now, all of the abstract world can be represented in data(Tally marks), that is
math, languges and ideas in there simplest form can be represented by a pile of sticks.
Now, there comes a good question maybe, the read has. How can a pile of sticks be the same
thing as langues, math and ideas? Well, it is very simple! It is how you represent
the tally marks that form the ideas, languegs and maths. It is very important to understand,
that it is how we represent data that is making up the world of abstract thouths.

For example, maybe you have heard somebody say:"I will count in binary" and then he/she
say:"001, 010, 011, 100, 101, and so on...". This is in fact a "retard", because you
can not count in binary! You can only count in base-1 in math, a.k.a tally marks. But
you can represent tally marks in binary form. Thus the correct saying for the action whould be:
"I wll count in base-1 represented in binary form".

As you can see, you can only count in base-1. But you can represent base-1 in endles ways(endles base-X
ways). Now, dont be sad! if you thouth there where other ways to count then base-1. You can count
in base-1 and then count the 2nd time by adding 2 to base-1, thus get a number pattern counting system, e.g.:
-5,-3,-2,0,2,3,5,6,8,9,11
This, whould not be counting in base-1. But if whould be tricky to make simple calculation as
minus and plus because you whould get in between(for example 6-5=1 the number 1, wtich dose not exist)
numbers that whould make it useless. But I am sure there dose exist other number pattern counting system
that are not in base-1. It is only todays mathematicans are not "hip hop", to explore these concepts.

---

Now, if you have not realised it allready, sounds and languges can allso be expresed in data. Or
rather better is to say data is expresing languges and sounds. E.G.:
In ASCII a character in binary that is for example 01011011 represent the letter A, same with sound
files. NOTE:The number 01011011 dose not correspond to the letter A, I am just using here a example and
not a practical example.

And the number 01011011 is a representation of the base-1 number 91, a.k.a:
IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII
But, remember this is only how we interpritate the numbers. Thus how you interpirtate
the data, you will see different worlds(abstract world, not physical words)!

The pysical world, has absolutly nothing with data to do! There dose not exist math
i nthe reall world. But when you say something, like a sound. It is beeing
interpritated in to data.

NOTE:I am not a lingust, but on my free time I am.
When you say:"hello", athleast for me, you say it like this:
hhhhhhhhhheelllo (you say the h sound longer then all the other sounds).
And the pitch allso variates, on the different letters. This gives us data that we
can represent in a funciton with a graph witch has X and Y axels. This function can now be
represented in to two directions, that is the 1st make it more simpler
representation of the data, witch will lead to base-1 representation of the data - as
it is the most simplest form of representing data and the 2nd way to represent
the function in languges(adding more function to a bigger function making languge)

I hope you do agree with my statement:
all ideas, languges and math in the abstract world are data that can be represented in most
simplest form is base-1
I am not saying, logic can be represented in data. And all data is base-1 at its core,
it is only how we represent it, it becomes different things, e.g.:
The number 92 can be represented as the letter A and allso the sound A - but they are
in the most simplest form the same thing
In the pysical worlds there dose not exist data, but we interpritate the pysical world to data, e.g.:
There dose not exist, 5 fingers on a human hand, it is just how we interpritate the pysical world things
to the abstract world with data. Math dose not exist in the reall world - or maybe it dose...

Now back to the video!(GDrBIKOR01c) at 17:00 he say:
"Why not send everything? We could, ..."
The truth is, it whould not work if we could not send everything. Why? Because if we whould
send everything they would not know how to interpret(understand) the information sent. We
need to send instruction how to understand the information(a dictonary).

For example the english and dutch have the same alphabet. But english speakers can not
understand dutch and vice versa. Yes, they can understand both some similar words, and some
of the sounds, and some sounds are like different in pronunciatin.
The point is, they speak the same letters but can not understand eatch other
because they dont know how to interpret the information(thye need a dictonary
and some understanding of the grammar). But to its core the grammar is so similar and
the vocals of the alphabet that they should be able to understand eatch other, but they don't!
Because they interpritate it differently.

Another example is, english speakers can understand to 100% japanes vocal languges, but
they can not interpret the languges. Thus understand 0% of what the data is saying,
but they can understand the data. This is because japanes dose not add any addional
sounds to it alphabet. Thus Enlgish speakers can say japanes words but japanes can
not say english words. Because japanes dont know all english vocals. and stuff...

I hope you get my point, it is how we interpret data that create the
abstract world it is describing.

Now, back to the begining, with the qeustion:
"Why not send everything? We could, ..."
There are 3 ways you can do this:
1. send random data to the reciver in the hope they can interpret it the rigth way.
2. send a dictonary how to interpret the data too theme and then send the information
3. send theme in pysical form the library of babel with a dictonary how to interpret the data

But here a intresting question appear! What if Alliens are sending us a message
that we can not interpret? Well, if it was a message similar to library of babel
we whould only see random data, because we dont know how to interpret it. Maybe
rigth now they are trying to contact with us, and in a way we could understand theme.
But we can not interpret there data, and missinterpret there message as random noise
from outer space.

---

But now we will talk abou the main subject of this text, the library of babylon.

---

From the video we get this statement:
"what is on each page is already predetermined. So, in a way, every page already exists."
This is to some exten wrong and to some extent right. He say "so, in a way" means
hes statement is 50% correct. And this is truth. The truth is that, the possibilty
of the page exist, but it dose not exit until you create it.

The number 10^1003784568237683427643782683424 dose not exist! but the possibilty
of the number to exist, exist. Maybe the number 10^1003784568237683427643782683424
dose not exist, we dont know yet until we have seen it. But the possibily
for it, is very likley.

NOTE:From elvOZm0d4H0 we can learn, infinity is not a number, but a concept.
There for the number 10^1003784568237683427643782683424 maybe or not
may exist. Only if we "discover" the number it exist. But as long as no body
has seen the number 10^1003784568237683427643782683424 it dose not exit. BUt
there exist a great potensial for this number to exist.

---

Now because the library of babylon is comprised of randome letters combinded together, about
0.00[insert infinity]001% can be read and understood. But that is only for a english speaker!
For example, just as much text can be read for a Dutch speaker - because they have the same
alphabet.

Thus in the library of babylon, the amount of text that a english speaker can understand is:
0.00[insert infinity]001%
a dutch speaker can undertand is:
0.00[insert infinity]001%
and so on... for people with same alphabet as english languges(or less letters then english alphabet)

Now, if you read all of the library of babylon, you will stumble upon
the "diconary of library of babylon" with will define new english words.
Thus "random" words can be up looked at the "diconary of library of babylon"
and there for you can understand the text 100%(or athleast more then 0.00[insert infinity]001%)
in English!

But wait! If I can read the library of babylon in both english and dutch.
Will I not be able to get to meaning of the same word? The turth is! Yes!
It is only how you interpret the data. And it can have there for 2 completly different meanings.

As a example, the library of babylon gives us this text:
"The present Dutch standard language is derived from Old
Dutch dialects spoken in the Low Countries that were first
recorded in the Salic law, a Frankish document written around 510."

It is writen in English, but we will interpret in my "own defined languges", here is the diconary:
Dutch -> English
language -> cow
dialects -> particular
spoken -> bread

Thus the text is interpret like this, in my "own defined languges":
The present English standard cow is derived from Old
English particular bread in the Low Countries that were first
recorded in the Salic law, a Frankish document written around 510.

As you can see, the sentence is 100% correct and make scence. You can
just change the defenision(swap around) of some words and get completly different meanings. This is a short
example, but with long text you will truley see the difference.

---

But! if I can read English and Dutch the library of babylon, surley I will read at the end the same things, right?
NO! Because there are words in Dutch that have no coresponding translation to English and vice versa.
Here:9I8mQpFAJ50
And there is no diconary in the library of babylon that can give you the deffenion of that word!
Thus you will interpret things in the dutch library of babylon that you can not interpret
in the english library of babylon!

Thus you can not send "everything"! - but you can send all "data", in base-1. But how to
interpret the langues? I have no idea what you where thinking!

---

Thus, as you understand the library of babylon is a lingustic question.

Now, the library of babylon will not have the data of all that can be writen.
Because if that whould be true. There shoul be for example a endles string of the letter
"m" and "n", and so on... but because you do not see on every page the letter m,
this infiny dose not exit inside of the library of baylon. NOTE:I hope you understand
there exist different kinds of infinitys like:
0.33333333333333333[infinity]
is totaly different infinity from this:
0,44444444444444444[infinity]

For example, pi is "infinity" as far as we know, but it dose not have all infinitys.
Same with the library of babylon thus it can not expres "everything".
It is imposibil to expres infinity, as infinity is infinty.

---

A text like:
"michael stevens was born on january twenty third sineteen eighty six in kansas city missorui"
can exist in the infinity that the library of babylon has. But it only exist if we search for it!
Other wise we can not for 100% say it exist in the library of babylon. The reason why it exist,
is because it is possibil for us, too interpret the data. This sentece whould have a different meaning
if we interpret it differently.

Thus data in it selfe is useles, it is just a pille of sticks in base-1. If we interpret it,
it has more meaning, but it can never live up to the meaning of the physical world. Because
there is only one way to fully understand langues, ideas and math - it is to look at the reall world,
becuase the world of data is nothing without the real world. The library of babylon is nothing of value
without a reall world, you and me. We are not simply text on papper we are more then nothing. Data can
not describe us, but we can decribe us in data.

---

Thus if we whould go into a computer simulator, the computer simulation can not describe this world
more "reall" then what this world is. The same amount of reality or less can be only described in a
computer simulated world.

---

A real life application for the library of babylon whould be compresion, instead of
rainbow tables we can use the library of babylon! It eliminates loop backs for example!
You can have in the end of the text a END BLOCK or something.
We can allso use it for general compresion...

But how much do you gain? probebly it dose not work:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Range_encoding
http://cs.stackexchange.com/questions/42464/are-there-any-compression-algorithms-based-on-p
https://github.com/philipl/pifs
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BBP-type_formula
http://cs.stackexchange.com/questions/29809/using-base-80-for-compressing-files

Do you think this kind of a program could be created for compresion in a reall world application?
Can you program this?

Thus as in conclusion, the video was just a waste of time
in the later part(from 17:00 and onwards), as all what I
have sad is just simple logic that any 15-18 year old person can figure out.

Well, it starts off talking about tally marks. Have you learned about tallies in school, sweetheart? Well, with those tallies, we can build up the rest of math. After we have math made from tallies we can build up words and sentences. Unfortunately, after that, it starts talking about the tower of Babel or something. Do you know what that is? The tower of Babel was where Jesus cursed Icarus for flying to high, that is, for knowing too much, by making everyone speak a different language so he couldn't learn anymore. I don't know what that has to do with tally marks either, sweetie. Now go brush your teeth and go to bed.
