tmlanguage is the dumbest fucking thing, whoever thought of using regex to colorize languages is an idiot, but the morons who decided to carry over this garbage regex shit for 3 more generations of meme editors are worse

You can't start a thread with vitriol, it doesn't work (I tried).
You have to start a thread lauding the virtues of the inverse of your actual views. That's how you grow classic /prague/ threadmeat, intice Cudder to post anonymously, and eventually summon the trips guy. You'll have to be clever about it -- perhaps even convince yourself of your own argument before dubs -- but the results are worthwhile.

Code isn't prose. It's a serialisation of an abstract syntax tree, a common language for communication of intent from meat to silicon. It's a compromise between human expression and computer interpretation. Just NLP algorithm difficulty interpreting sentence fragment words missing, humans wouldn't mind a little help with colour-coded feedback, at the first possible moment the computer can indicate failure.
