OAuth = artificial hype by Google/Twitter/Facebook

it's a piece of garbage with the only purpose of monopolizing the web for the big names

the only reason you've even heard of it is because Google & friends alter search results so that you get peer pressured into using it

I'm always confused by how anyone could possibly like any system that consolidates two unrelated accounts into one. In most cases it's not even more convenient, since logging in via your kikebook account or whatever still usually requires an extra button press and page load, making it functionally identical to logging in normally with a remembered password. Literally the only difference is more information for prism to mine.
