How come Windows NT 4.1 shows what buttons are better than Windows 10?

How the fuck am I supposed to know what's a button and what is not?

What the fuck Microshaft? Why on EARTH are these webdesignesque hipsters throwing us back to the fucking stoneage?
It looks like even early on during Xerox Alto times, they figured out how to properly design UIs so that buttons looked like buttons, not pictograms.

But really, why are documents often shown as actual pages? Why have pages at all on a computer? Scrolls would actually be a better fit, but are also unnecessary. Why use a floppy to represent saving? What is paste anyway?
