WindowsXP saves the Day

Name: Anonymous 2016-09-14 13:49

I had to use an old printer.
Windows7 = Printer last driver is for Vista
Ubuntu = Not supported by Linux, search shows this model was never supported
XP = driver exists and was installed successfully.
When someone tells me "XP is no longer supported, why are you using such ancient shit" I will ask them "until this Printer gets modern drivers, i'm going to use it".
Hardware doesn't have expiration dates.

the real problem is proprietary drivers. and this is still pretty tame, if you worked with specialized hardware you might have been forced to use windows 95 or 98
