Teenagers are better coders than grown ups

Name: Anonymous 2017-01-29 17:33

Teenagers are unencumbered by the constant flipping from the Tower of babbel maneuver.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Babel

Teens are better than adults at coding, because they haven't had their tool sets flipped around 15 times over the last 15 years.

Imagine a carpenter who had to use a completely different set of tools every 18 months. He could hardly build a house after 10 years of flipping. Having his hammer de-materialize and materialize as having it's functionality totally changed so that each time it changes the carpenter has to stop and be completely re-trained.

This is the disease coursing through computer science today. Macbook getting rid of the function row. Windows 8 and 10 replacing the start menu with advertisement bouncing marquis. We're going to need to train the young ones in bare metal technology before we wake up as little more than slaves with nooses around our necks using all this technology that only serves the peak of the illuminati pyramid.

Someone tells you that old language is dumb and stupid, and new language is great and hot! I agree with them and point their career path into the circular file. General purpose Computing and the overall internet is under daily attack. We need to get back closer to bare metal to maintain our grip on ability to code at all.

Imagine an analogy that makes things sound orders of magnitude worse than they are. Or better yet, don't. Also, sage.

what did you mean by this?

A Sepples shill complains about fictional hackers misrepresenting enterprise programmers who "got more skill". Pathetic.

well it does take time to become good at using a bloated, overly complex language like C++

such truth

So don't learn $flavor_of_the_month every month. Problem solved.

When I was young the old guard were sticking to clunky, obsolete languages but these days the kids are all chasing stupid fad languages with no future.
