#26346 why open source sucks

Name: Anonymous 2017-06-25 5:50

1.Open Sores: all the last settings:file format, checkboxes, tools settings are wiped as soon as you exit the program you have to enter the same thing again each time.
2.Closed source: everything is saved again and restored from start. You basically start where you left off and productivity is optimal.

Open Source programs are user-hostile by design because the neckbeard autists writing them don't care about doing the same autistic routine 1000's of time repeated.

Obv. the Open Source solution is to create a program with 1000 cli switches and expect the users to research each switch, write a script for the task and pretend its the equivalent to JUST SAVING THE LAST SETTINGS IN PROGRAM.

Closed source: When you are family opens the program they see the anime child pron that you used that program on.

the OP has a problem with one specific piece of software (I wonder which one is that) which happens to be open source and concludes that all open source is shit, disregarding the fact that open vs closed source has nothing to do with saving or not saving your settings.

Saving settings is insecure. Better send them directly to Putin's FSB.
