The first time he done it, I thought it was my imagination. Then he begun going down and taking long deep sniffs which turned him on like I have never seen him before.

It's a masterpiece and certainly one of the heights of the series. It's astoundingly elegant despite being so spartan, and it's impressively balanced and incredibly graceful. Basically, Civ V is a board game enthusiast's wet dream, with a lot of crossover value. Having that in mind, it's an abnormality in the series, much, much different from any of the other installations, including the most recent one. Along with its spartan nature, a campaign is much shorter; there's more value invested in every single turn, and while Civ V still revels in overarching strategy the way its predecessors do, tactics are much closer to forefront. Although superficially out of line with the series, it's spiritually quite similar, in that it upholds the Civ fantasy of ``making your own story," in sharp contrast to one of the game's other gems, SMAC/SMAX.
