>>29All commercial game development is essentially building better skinner boxes. Do you think games are developed purely to produce fun?
We don't live in abstract vacuum where fun is cost-free. In real-life fun costs time, effort and money, games don't come free of external costs and players limited energy.
Its like you believe giant corporations and governments are built to benefit the citizen.
Game industry is not about players fun, its about addiction and user control.
Do you want to give them more control? All game ideas, mechanics and concepts will eventually be used against gamers to maximize their addictions and habits towards ingame consumption. You can build a better psychological trap but its still a trap.
